The Fashion Loop’s training courses came about as a result of people expressing their desire to learn the skills needed to create good quality garments that fitted them, and fitted well!
Clothes on the High Street may tempt with the latest trends, but the pleasure is limited if they don't fit well and flatter.
The aim of The Fashion Loop is to offer fashion workshops and courses that provide insights into the fashion design and sewing industry and equip learners with skills and confidence to achieve their personal goal, whether they are a sewing enthusiast or aspiring to pursue professional or entrepreneurial goals in the fashion industry.
We understand there are many different reasons why you may aspire to learn new skills or develop the expertise you already have. Our goal is to make professional fashion and sewing skills readily available to everyone and assist you to bring life to your vision.
Our Fashion Courses & Workshops
The Fashion Loop offers a curriculum of courses aimed at people with varying skills and experience levels. If you are a newbie, our beginner’s courses can help you take the plunge and establish your creative journey.
Our courses are delivered in a relaxed professional studio with beginner-friendly language, industry-experienced tutors and flexible class times. Through our small class sizes and hands-on teaching, you can expect tuition with plenty of interaction and the chance to share experiences and ideas, at a cost and pace that works for you.
The length of our courses can vary from a few hours to a one-year programme and can be tailored to meet a range of personal requirements. There is an opportunity to progress sequentially and widen your skills from basic to advanced levels while choosing exactly the areas in which you wish to specialise in. Or maybe you would prefer to choose a one-off workshop - perhaps as a gift or treat.

The Fashion Loop is a local independent business in Bedford in the Castle Road area.
This is where we deliver our courses and workshops for adults, teens and children.
The Fashion Loop is a young and expanding company which offers professional fashion tuition, workshops and courses to small class numbers, giving students the confidence, skills and creative approach needed to flourish, whether for personal or professional development.
Jay Carrera is the founder of The Fashion Loop and principal tutor for the courses and workshops. She is a graduate of Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion and has worked in the design studios of well-known names such as Vivienne Westwood, Alexander Mcqueen, and Marks & Spencers.
Learning is continuous process in fashion and having spent 25 years in the industry, interacting with students continues to provide Jay with new ideas and inspiration.
